About The Role

An exciting opportunity awaits you to join our team of like-minded, compassionate, and innovative staff, as a valued member of the Aegis Family. We have Permanent Full-time positions available in Perth's North, Central and South, Metropolitan areas. These roles form part of our centralised Care and Lifestyle team who will provide ongoing Registered Nurse support to our Aegis Facilities in the allocated areas of Perth for unplanned leave. The role will also provide a clinical support and consulting function to designated facilities. This exciting role will challenge and reward you with excellent and diverse clinical experience.

As an integral part of the team, you will:

  • Provide high quality, safe and effective nursing care across various Facilities.
  • Undertake clinical, social and self-care assessments.
  • Ensure all care documentation is completed.
  • Anticipate residents’ changing health needs and initiate further assessments or referrals.
  • Support, coach, monitor and mentor the unregulated care workers.
  • Provide clinical support and consultancy to various facilities.

 

 

Requirements of the role

  • Aged Care Experience with 3-5 years practicing as a Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to cover day, afternoon and evening shifts as required.
  • Flexible and adaptable to last minute change of plans.
  • Passionate about caring for the aged.
  • Able to identify and manage clinical risk in the aged care setting.
  • Lead and coach staff.
  • Registered Nurse Div. 1 with current AHPRA registration.
  • Clinical experience and ability to manage risk in aged care.
  • Sound understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems.
  • Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
