An exciting opportunity awaits you to join our team of like-minded. compassionate, and innovative staff, as a valued member of the Aegis Family. We have a permanent full-time role working across 2 smaller facilities.

The successful Physiotherapist will work at our Lincoln Park Facility located in the heart of Highgate providing quality care services for up to 46 residents and at our Sandstrom Facility located opposite the Mount Lawley train station, providing quality care services for 48 residents.

Aegis Aged care group is looking for a physiotherapist who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our deserving residents. the role offers an opportunity to provide high quality, evidence-based Physiotherapy services, founded on our philosophy of resident centred holistic care. In your day-to-day role you will be responsible for assessing the physical and psycho-social functioning of residents informing their physical function. You will work alongside residents, and those that are important to them, to identify their physiotherapy goals, needs and preferences to inform resident-led, goal directed care planning within a multiskilled environment that is focused on the reablement of our residents. 

Physiotherapists understand how important good physical functioning and heathy aging are to people's sense of well-being. you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality services are provided by the therapy team which meets the physical and pyscho-social needs of our residents.

 As a Physiotherapist with Aegis, no day will look the same! You will benefit from a diverse caseload that allows you to apply a broad range of your core skills including but not limited to assessing, monitoring and making recommendations in relation to 

  • Falls, Prevention, trending, analysis, management and post-fall review.
  • Musculoskeletal, assessment and management
  • Evidence-based pain management (acute and chronic)
  • Mobility
  • Exercise prescription (Phys track subscription available) 
  • Functional retraining and rehabilitation
  • Equipment provision
  • Health promotion and education Cardiovascular/respiratory rehabilitation
  • Continence, bowl and pelvic health
  • Positioning
  • Manuel tasks and transfers 
  • Oedema Management 
  • Advocate for residents through supporting choice and mitigating risk processes.
  • Leadership.
  • Training and Education
  • Quality monitoring practices and continuous improvement

To excel at this role, you will be supported by a team of Senior Clinicians with the opportunity to participate in peer support activities, ensuring opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Essential requirements 

  • Physiotherapy qualification and AHPRA registration.
  • Have a full Australian working rights and be able to pass national police clearance.
