Located in Mindarie, Aegis Anchorage caters for 102 residents in premium accommodation providing low and high care as well as Dementia Specific Care.

Aegis Aged Care Group is looking for Occupational Therapists who are committed to making a difference in the lives of our deserving residents. The role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services, founded on our philosophy of resident-centred, wholistic care. In your day-to-day role, you will be responsible for assessing the physical and psycho-social functioning of residents informing their occupational performance capacity in all aspects of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). You will work alongside residents, and those that are important to them, to identify their occupational goals, needs, and preferences to inform resident-led, goal-directed care planning within a multiskilled environment that is focused on the occupational strengths and reablement of our residents.

Occupational Therapists understand the importance of occupational roles, routines, and structure. Using activity analysis, and in consultation with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will plan, implement, and deliver wholistic and dynamic therapy and lifestyle programs that promote residents’ sense of self, autonomy, well-being, and overall quality of life by enabling their participation in meaningful and purposeful activity.

Essential Requirements 

  • Occupational Therapy qualification and AHPRA registration.
